Music Director
I was part of the Kenya Polytechnic University College team that worked on the charter process for TU-K. I also participated in the drafting of both the 70-year Master Plan and the 2017-2022 strategic plan for CUK, and later was involved in its evaluation as an activity in its revision.
Composer
One of the highlights of my academic administration is the rationalisation of course units taught at CUK. With a team of school examination coordinators, we analysed all course units on offer, established similarity and overlaps, and merged, renamed and excluded some, reducing the course units by large percentages, thereby reducing on the cost of conducting the business of the University. I believe this led to the University’s prudence in expenditure between 2018-2019, an event that enabled it to weather the COVID-19 shutdown.
